Adam Chałupski collaborated with the American organization Homes For Sudan http://homesforsudan.blogspot.com and acted as an Architect and Project Co-initiator, for this two domed earth-bag building.

He performed site assessments, participated in multiple meetings and negotiations to collect funds and support from USAID and AECOM. He also prepared initial calculations and drafts of various options for the project and maintained close contacts with a team of Sudanese counterparts comprising the Faculty of Architecture, Khartoum University, ArcPeace Sudan, as well as the Belgian NGO ‘For A Purpose’ http://for-a-purpose.com/en.

Note on the CHALUPSKI PROJECT

The NGO ‘FOR A PURPOSEhttp://for-a-purpose.com/en decided to start a project of building a complex with 6 dormitories, a sanitary block, a road and a small playground with electricity supply, dedicated to their architect and close friend Adam Chalupski. They are searching for funds and helping hands.

Jonguo. As Water Wills (second release)
“Jonguo is a story that emerges from memories of an architect fleeing from Beijing. His tale starts in the year of Chinese Olympics when he left his homeland Poland on his bicycle driven by a somewhat naïve desire to find a new spiritual path in Tibet. His hopes are dashed by the bloodily suppressed uprising and the authorities who isolate the Buddhist “roof of the world” from the public eye. People blame something called Jonguo for causing all the evil he has witnessed. Based on true story, it is a unique cross-genre book that challenges the standards of a travel documentary with subtle doses of unreality. By using elements of fiction the author brings forth the issue of research, objectivism, and the presentation of factual information. How do we seprate “the truth” from its speaker? How do we unburden ourselves from our basis and convictons?”
