Rest in peace Adam Chalupski
It is just tragic, to think that a young genius has left too soon! An architect with passion, an adventurer who spent ten years on his bike from Poland to China and through Africa, and who crossed over a hundred countries in his short life span, an author of three books, a tutor of sophisticated software and a Ph. D. student with ambitious plans, who loved Sudan but could not withstand the reality of the situation here. He left a few months before the December political stir when his hyper-sensitive nature couldn’t cope anymore. He however, started following news from Sudan and writing to Polish newspapers on events. Life did not offer him a second chance to comeback, though he had plans of starting a business and maybe settle here. No words are enough to express the sorrow that many of his students and colleagues here feel. Condolences to his heart broken mother and acquaintances in Poland.

Dear Halina,
You have done a great job to bring this website to light. Adam’s short life was very rich, ambitious and full of genius projects. Moreover, he made many friendships in the many very places he visited. I am sure the site will soon collect many interesting comments, photos and stories, but you have to allow for that to be publicity exhibited.

I knew Adam personally when he was in Sudan. He was many men in one man. Many personalities in one person. Many adventurers in one adventurer. Multiple eyes in two eyes. Many lion hearts in one heart. When he looks he sees. Ambitious trying to each the rainbow. He was and he was not. He was to be or not to be. May your soul rest in peace
